Roadmap

We've been running this cypherpunk hub as a hobby project for over three years, but it's time to scale up. Regulators increase their attacks on freedoms all across the world, while worthless privacy gatekeepers on YouTube keep selling their followers to slave tech, and darknet folks indulge in the their illusionary supremacy by circle jerking on outdated tech with legacy architectures.

In other words, we need to urgently grow our project into a vital force to help free people survive in an increasingly hostile environment and resist the global surveillance state.

Achieved

Right now, our hub comprises:

a curated nojs directory with absolutely unique insights into freedom tech
the most hardcore lunarpunk podcast that bashes compliant tech
a blog with privacy and tech guides and news
private groups on Session and SimpleX with a custom bridge
public channels to share uncensored cypherpunk news without statist propaganda
- Session channel is self-hosted and listed in all Session directories
- SimpleX channel uses default SimpleX servers with unique name #privacy
Spasm forum with multiple deep dives and AMAs with core devs of various freedom tech projects

Plans

We have a lot of plans moving forward:

expand our directory with new categories and listings
provide more unique insights to existing listings
continue delivering uncensored news on Session, SimpleX, Spasm, and Nostr
release more podcast episodes about freedom tech, ancap, libertarianism
create new videos exposing slave tech
deploy alternative nojs frontends for slave tech platforms (Twitter, Reddit, Medium, etc.)
help other independent freedom projects raise funds via community donations

Videos

While we already have text and audio content, producing high-quality video content will help us educate people about freedom tech and debunk common privacy myths.

People already love our Signal page, which clearly explains why Signal is slave tech that nobody should use. However, imagine that page having a short and highly detailed video explaining all Signal flaws - that would have even bigger impact. Here is an example of videos we can produce.

Additionally, we want to make videos about other slave tech and destroy major privacy myths about Proton, Nord, Mullvad, Signal, Mastodon, Matrix, GrapheneOS, SimpleX, etc.

News

We also plan to expand our news coverage since there is literally no news outlet that provides a highly technical coverage from the ancap/libertarian point of view without statist propaganda or partisan bs.

So, we have a very rich roadmap, but we need your help to uphold cypherpunk values and educate people how to resist the surveillance state.

Most other clearnet influencers and organizations are compliant doxxed statists that sell you slave tech and outdated solutions, repeat statist propaganda, legitimize and empower the state by indulging in bureaucracy, while channelling a portion of your donations to adversaries through taxes.

Darknet folks are mostly busy with markets and also lack technical expertise since the whole darknet runs on legacy account-based slave tech architecture without self-custody or censorship-resistance, and people still use outdated solutions like Matrix and XMPP. Besides, darknet folks mostly ignore clearnet people, so there is a huge gap between these two different worlds.

Besides, tech "experts" are stuck in worthless tech holy wars, while trying to keep users within their own walled gardens.

We are here to fill the void, build the bridge between different communities and provide highly detailed technical reviews of modern tech without statist propaganda, partisan biases, or indulging in ridiculous tech holy wars.
