Signer and Protocol Agnostic Social Media (Spasm) is the most advanced generation of decentralized social media because it's agnostic to private keys, messaging protocols, transport layers, and storage infrastructure. All other decentralized social media solutions are walled gardens that lock users to a single set of rules, private key, protocol, and network, while Spasm is the only open ecosystem that restores the freedom of association, giving users a choice which app, protocol, and network to use.

Spasm has been in development since 2021 by pseudonymous cypherpunks and it currently supports multiple private keys (Ethereum, Nostr), networks (Spasm, Nostr), protocols (Spasm, Nostr, RSS, DMP), and enables groundbreaking multi-signing.

Spasm doesn't require installing any new software because a user can sign all events with an existing app. The core philosophy of Spasm is: "You do you", meaning that a user is not constrained to one specific app, private key, protocol, or network, but rather he is free to choose his own path.
