Encryption

Most XMPP apps encrypt private conversations with OMEMO by default, and you can choose to use your own PGP key instead. However, not all clients support both OMEMO and PGP.

Email address

Some popular XMPP servers require an email address to create an account, but you can find a server that doesn't.
