Status merges crypto wallets, web3 browsing, and messaging into one super-app, which means many third-party trackers are enabled by default, but you can disable them via a single checkbox in settings. Messaging will work fine, but a few features like searching users based on their ENS will be unavailable.

There is a known issue with some messages in public groups not being delivered, especially if not checked daily.
